Leitir Ceanainn: Anne Nicholls

Inspired by reading the local history of her home town, "Leitir Ceanainn" is a new song written and performed by schoolteacher Anne Nicholls about Letterkenny in County Donegal. Accompanied by Sinead Gibson and Aisling Cheevers, the song covers epic battles on the River Swilly, Tenant Rights meetings, the development of the Port, Railway and Hiring Fairs and of course the growth of the town over its 400 year history.

Letterkenny Reunion 1991

Between the 18th and 20th August 1991, the first Old Letterkenny Reunion was held in the town.  These nine short videos presented by the Letterkenny Reunion and the Letterkenny Historical Society show the highlights of that fabulous weekend welcoming home townies from all over the world.
